FOREWORD

A New Year is started. Everyone wants to gain more from this New Year than from last year. Only few days are left to cross over this year. But God speaks to man even today. This devotion page is published with website that aim. People could lead a good life and experience the joy of salvation by reading such books. A true story is given below.

26th February 1993, it was the day when there was a bomb explosion in the famous world trade Center, the multistoried building in New York. It is said that some religious fanatics were behind that bomb explosion. That resented in the loss of several lives and millions of rupees. Timothy Lang who escaped from that bomb explosion tells his own experience and story.
He gained millions of dollars, attracted by the share business in Walls Street. It became his life's only goal. He gave the first priority of his life to his business. As a result of that his family life became very unstable and ended in divorce. All of his four children became strangers for him. They secured the relationship with their parents.
Because of the persuation of one of his friends only became to the world trade centre that day of bomb explosion. There were hundreds of cars parked in different rows and layers of that very tall building. The deafering noise and dazzling fire and sky scrapping smoke broke out as our hero was coming out parking his car. He was sure that he would lose his eyesight. He wanted to cry around for help, as he fell down. But no sound was coming out of his throat. He would end his life there, to walk out of the fossil scrapes and the sounds of a lot of cars, he feared. He was sure to die there if no one turned out for help. He could not even think of such a situation. At that crucial moment he uttered some sort of prayers with broken heart, He remembered about the disorderly and failure life. He remembered about the drifting away from parents and the forsaken state from wife and children. His goal in life was only amazing wealth .He remembered his ambition as a very youngman to take up the position of a clergy. Then after getting in to family life, he forgot his obligation towards his wife and children. He concentrated his life only in share business and he gained very much financially. Remembering all these he dropped into a map. In that situation he remembered a verse from the word of God. He remembered suddenly the portion for the day to be studied and from the open Bible calendars given to him by a friend of his. The verse meant for the day came to his remembrance " Lo! I am with you I will preserve and protect you where ever you go; I will not leave you until I have filled all my promises to you". He wanted to find out the date and confirm the date looking into the calendar. Then only this encouraging and comforting verse long happened to notice. This verse surrounded by loudly in his ears when he lay there at the garage of world trade Center building. He need not be afraid as God was with him, no matter he dies or lives. He was convinced that God would not leave him until His work with for him is completed. Then he heard the steps of certain rescue volunteers. "Any one is here" they asked. I am here he tried to say. But the sound did not came out. He could immediately understand that there was some one in that darkness. He and his co-workers lifted up Lang took him to the hospital.

This incident made him a new man. His first aim was to reconcile with his family members, wife and 4 children. He gave first priority to his relationship God's Word. His parents and family members were reconciled to himself. Human relationship was given importance. He made up his mind to entertain wealth only after all these.

We find out the precious promises of God when he study devotion matters. That comforts our heart and redeem us from our disappoint. The greatest promise is " I am with you always". Hence we advise you to read this devotion pages regularly. May the God bless you and protect you all.
